Winston-Salem Downtown Study

In anticipation of NCDOT’s Business 40 project, the City of Winston-Salem enlisted DAVENPORT to study downtown traffic impacts and develop improvement strategies. DAVENPORT evaluated two-way street conversions, parking, pedestrian and bike access, traffic calming, and signage. They led extensive public engagement, created visuals and materials, and coordinated with stakeholders to align recommendations with future growth. The final report guided the City’s planning decisions with short- and long-term solutions for mobility, access, and downtown development.
