Williams Memorial CME
In 2008, DTC was hired by Sharon Graeber Architects (SGA) to perform a traffic assessment for the proposed renovation / restoration project of the historic Brentwood Elementary School located at the intersection of Russell Avenue and Brentwood Street in High Point, NC. SGA's client was The Williams Memorial CME Church, who intended to use the property as an extension of their nearby primary campus, for the purpose of their growing list of primary missions. The renovated historic elementary school would accommodate a small chapel four counseling, a food bank/pantry, conference space, a banquet hall/ theater, office space, after school daycare space, and classroom/ library space. The traffic study included three intersections for the scenarios of existing conditions and future build/no build conditions. The LOS analysis of the study indicated that no roadway improvements would be necessary for the project. DTC staff member Abigaile Pittman, AICP, was at that time a private consultant who successfully handled the rezoning of the site for the client.
