Traffic Signal Modification Design for the Intersection of US 17 (Market Street) at SR 1175 (Kerr Avenue), Wilmington, NC

DTC was contracted to provide traffic signal modification plans for an existing traffic signal at the intersection of US 17 (Market Streeet) at SR 1175 (Kerr Avenue) in Wilmingon, NC to accommodate the City's and NCDOT's requirement for intersection improvements, which included travel lane adjustments and a westbound right-turn overlap phase.  The signal design was based on existing geometric survey and proposed roadway design geometry.  Signal design details including vehicular turning movement paths, island nose positioning, stop bar locations, etc. were coordinated with the design plans. DTC provided sealed and signed traffic signal design plans for the intersection, to NCDOT standards.
