Traffic Signal Design Plans for Boulders Road and Rivanna Station/Parking Lot Entrance in Albemarle County, VA

Davenport Transportation Consulting (DTC) was retained to prepare traffic signal design plans to VDOT standards for Boulders Road and Rivanna Station/Parking Lot Entrance in Albemarles County, VA.  The scope of services included a stop light with necessary turn signals to accomplish NGIC intent; street lights mounted to traffic signal poles illuminating intersection; cross walks through the intersection connecting the overflow lot with the Rivanna Station entrance sidewalk; stop light traffic and pedestrian actuated devices; and was based on survey/roadway geometry and existing traffic data.
