- DTC has been selected by the Burlington-Graham MPO to
perform the Intersection Improvement Study for St. Marks
Church Road at South Church Street (Highway 70) in
Burlington, NC. DTC's scope of services for this study
will include:
- DTC is on the Louis Berger Group project team that has been selected to provide professional engineering services for the NC DOT 17BP Bridge Replacements Program.

selected to provide professional engineering services for
the NCDOT 17BP Bridge Replacements Program. DTC will
provide selected transportation engineering services.
- David Esmay has joined the DTC staff as a Senior CEI Technician

- David Esmay has joined the DTC staff as a Senior CEI
Technician. David will be conducting field inspections and
testing and quality control for construction projects. He
has 27 years of experience in commercial, industrial and
institutional construction projects.
- Chris Reich, EI has joined the DTC staff as a Project Engineer.

- Chris Reich, EI joined the DTC staff as a Project Engineer
in the summer of 2011. His experience working with DtC has
included construction engineering and inspection, data
collection, intersection turn movement counts, assisting
with the preparation for several traffic impact studies, and
AutoCAD drafting for various types of projects across North
Carolina. Prior to joining DTC Chris gain experience
through a wide variety transportation projects during a 2010
summer internship with NCDOT Division 9.

- DTC selected for Coastal Carolina Community College Faculty Drive Extension Design Services Project

- Davenport Transportation Consulting (DTC) has been selected
to provide Coastal Carolina Community College with design
services for the extension of Faculty Drive to Country Club
Road, a distance of approximately 3,000 feet. The internal
connection to the college's existing roadway network will
include a roundabout intersection. DTC will lead the
overall project effort and will perform the traffic
engineering and roadway design tasks. Dan Cumbo, PE, who
is DTC's Vice President and Director of our Wilmington
Office will be responsible for overall project management.
DTC has assembled a team for this project that includes
subconsultant Parker & Associates, Inc., who will perform
surveying and assist with utility coordination, storm water
detention and treatment, and permitting.
- DTC and Rivers & Associates, Inc. Team Selected for City of Greenville West Fifth Streetscape (Phase II) Project

- The City of Greenville Redelopment Commission has selected
the Rivers & Associates, Inc. team to develop design and
construction documents for a four-block section of West
Fifth Street. Rivers & Associates will serve as the lead
firm for the team and provide overall project management,
facilitate public input, develop project conceptual design
alternative including landscape design and hardscape,
lighting, site furnishings and planting elements to be
incorporated into the final project plans, surveying,
oversignt of the design development and construction
documentation phases for landscape architectural elements,
civil engineering aspects of the design, bid package
document and services, and construction administration
services. Subconsultant Davenport Transportation
Consulting (DTC) will provide traffic engineering and signal
design services. DTC staff member Jim Morrison, PE will be
our firm's task manager for this project; Frank Amenya, PE,
PTOE will oversee the traffic study, and Royal Hinshaw, PE
wil perform signal design services.
