DAVENPORT provided environmental services support in a teaming effort for the Inchon Range (P-398) Safety Improvements and Modernization project.
DAVENPORT performed on-site investigations to identify and document the presence of Section 404/10 wetlands and surface water bodies under the Clean Water Act (CWA) located within the project area. Potential on-site wetlands were defined using the Routine On-Site Determination Method as described in the 1987 US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Wetlands Delineation Manual and the applicable Regional Supplements. A critical line boundary was established and approved by the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (SCDHEC) Office of Ocean and Coastal Resource Management (OCRM).
In addition, DAVENPORT utilized Geographic Information Systems (GIS) geodatabases and environmental data layers available through SCDHEC’s GIS Data Clearinghouse to create maps and figures of the project area depicting areas of potential Section 404/10 wetlands and surface water bodies. DAVENPORT prepared, submitted and obtained an approved Jurisdictional Determination document from the USACE.
DAVENPORT also prepared and submitted a Federal Coastal Zone Consistency (FCZC) document. A “Negative Determination” pursuant to 15 CFR 930.35 was obtained from SCDHEC-OCRM.
