DAVENPORT provided transportation engineering services for the King William Sand and Gravel quarry development on US Route 360 and VA 604. Services included a transportation impact analysis, which was required by VDOT and the County to determine the impacts of this project. The DAVENPORT team worked with local officials to get approval for this traffic impact analysis and its recommendations which included intersection improvements. Once the study was approved, DAVENPORT was charged with developing the full construction documents for the agreed upon improvements. These plans included: intersection improvement plans & profiles, geometric design, storm drain design, wet/dry utility relocation, design, coordination, sedimentation and erosion control design, signal design for state RTE 604 at US RTE 360 in accordance with VDOT standards, maintenance of traffic. DAVENPORT acted as the liaison for King William County and VDOT in regard to the site entrance plan submission and review, while advocating for the signal installation at RTE 360 and 604.
