Cook-Out Fast Food Restaurants - multiple locations
DTC has provided traffic engineering services for Cook-Out Fast Food Restaurants at multiple locations:
- Transportation Impact Analysis, Lee Highway, Radford, VA. This proposed Cook Out Restaurant site was located on Lee Highway in Radford, Virginia. The proposed site included a 3,543 square foot fast-food restaurant with dual (2) drive-thru lanes and an indoor dining room with 72 seats. The site plan proposed one access point connecting to US Route 11 (Lee Highway) with one (1) entry lane and two (2) exit lanes. The existing driveway was to be relocated approximately 60 feet to the north on Lee Highway. DTC was retained to determine the potential traffic impacts of this development and to identify transportation improvements that may be required to accommodate the impacts of the new development traffic.
- Transportation Impact Analysis, South Marine Boulevard, Jacksonville, NC. This proposed Cook Out Restaurant site was located on South Marine Boulevard (US 17 Business) in southern Jacksonville, North Carolina. As currently planned, the site will included a 2,867 square foot fast-food restaurant with dual drive-thru lanes and an indoor dining room with 36 seats. The site plan proposed to use the western of two existing driveways on South Marine Boulevard existing at the site, and the eastern driveway will be closed off. The western driveway was proposed to be configured for left-in, right-in, and right-out access, while left-out turning vehicles will be directed to the access road at the southern edge of the property, from which they can turn onto Georgetown Road and make a left turn at the traffic signal onto South Marine Boulevard. DTC was retained to determine the potential traffic impacts of this development and to identify transportation improvements that may be required to accommodate the impacts of the new development traffic.
- Transportation Impact Analysis, Cherry Road, Rock Hill, SC. This proposed Cook Out Restaurant site was located on Cherry Road (US 21 Business), on the northeast quadrant of the intersection of Cherry Road and Automall Parkway in Rock Hill, South Carolina. The site included a 5,000 square foot fast-food restaurant with dual (2) drive-thru lanes and an indoor dining room with 28 seats. The site plan proposed one access point connecting to Automall Parkway. DTC was retained to determine the potential traffic impacts of this development and to identify transportation improvements that may be required to accommodate the impacts of the new development traffic.
- Transportation Impact Analysis, Western Boulevard, Jacksonville, NC. This proposed Cook Out Restaurant site was located on SR 1470 (Western Boulevard) on the west side, approximately 410 feet north of Coastal Carolina Road in Jacksonville, North Carolina. The site included a 2,751 square foot Cook Out fast-food restaurant with dual drive-thru lanes and an indoor dining room with 36 seats. The site plan proposes one access point connecting to Western Boulevard. DTC was retained to determine the potential traffic impacts of this development and to identify transportation improvements that may be required to accommodate the impacts of the new development traffic.
- Transportation Impact Analysis, Market Street, Wilmington, NC. This proposed Cook Out Restaurant was located on Market Street between Princess Place Drive and Barclay Hills Drive in Wilmington, NC. Specifically, this analysis was conducted to simulate internal queuing behind the drive-thru lanes and assess whether traffic can be adequately conducted through the drive-thru system in order to prevent spill-over onto the adjacent roads. This analysis required data collection at an existing Cook Out location, calculation of the trip generation for this site, analysis of data to determine flow rates and observed queuing, and a traffic simulation to study the internal circulation.
